I have this in mind for a while now and managed to save some time to work on this project ::Here are the new "maman & moi" items I list in my shop . First a robin egg blue top adorned with a handsewn cascade of jersey knit petals. Then a blossom pink top, embellished with a lovely white flower. And finally a violet top, accented with 2 handsewn flower lace appliqués.

There is nothing like some snow to feel the christmas time spirit everywhere ...

handmade presents

It is snowing like crazy outside . I enjoy my fireplace while working on orders and polishing up my Christmas present. I like offering handmade things a lot. It is sometimes challenging, especially when you run a little business, but for me it is part of Christmas. Among my favorites are upcycled vintage article .

Here are some of my last creations … first a canvas, I recovered with vintage fabric & with a page of antique book. And the embellished using different techniques.

Secondly an antique shabby frame, I painted in blue gray and coated it with a white patina. I SO love patina …

lightning….

a few snapshots taken yesterday evening, while playing around with my camera settings. The little tree is a disguised* crassula (one of my very favorite plant), also know as Jade plant. . It is located on the main entrance of our sweet home

*crassula often developp a I-want-to-look-like-a-christmas-tree syndroma when they are about the age of 3. If it ever happens to you, never , ever dare to thwart its fancy whim ... you sure don't want your plant to be so upset it becomes "bowl head " of frustation .

white and red

Today I am inaugurating a new series of post related to Christmas .. Following are a few pictures of some of my Christmas home decoration … I picked red and white for the living room. the decoration on top is arranged on my chimney. I sued several of my embellished writing slate , as well as a wreath I made myself using wood from the garden (I had to let the branches soaked in water for a long period ). I embellished it with lavender, romarin, dry vegetal fruits from our daily promenade, and 2 vintage little angels , I found a month ago. the only thing I bought are the red …things.
